Is the entire 12 miles you've added here gravel?

Tough miles. We rode the Little Shepherd Trail from Whitesburg to Harlan. The middle section is the most difficult. There is a road going straight up to a cell tower after you cross 160, dont take it. There is a cool fire tower at Putney, across from the abandoned Goss Park. Its about 1/4 mile off the Little Shepherd Trail, to the north. If you ride down 421 to Harlan be aware this road is heavily used by coal trucks and there is no shoulder.
