Main trail is just a dirt and gravel road, with harder obstacles and off-shoots throughout. Several water crossings that are usually under a foot deep. Difficulty rating a 2/5 on the main trail, most obstacles are a 3/5. Perfect place for mild/moderately built 4wd

From the start point, I like to do it as a wishbone (Scott Road > Latrobe > Michigan Bar to Jackson Highway . then reverse and back to Scott Road). It looks tempting to simply make it a lolipop using tarmac on Jackson Highway and Scott Road but doing it as a dirt wishbone is better.

Fun section of gravel with creek crossings. Fairly quiet other then some locals and some people doing 4wd rock crawling stuff. Didn't see any other cyclists. Plenty of parking at the beginning so no need for a 4wd car to access. Note that the gravel turns to pavement about 3/4 of the way up.
