Named for Lewis and Clark's return route in 1806, this gravel road is paved at either end, and makes a steep decent through some wild bluff country to the SD Whetstone Bay campground, then climbs back out. Marked route ends at pavement, but you can continue on Hwy. 1806 all the way to SD Hwy. 44.
