From entrance off of Manning Rd westbound to lower Gratis Rd is all gravel and well maintained. From Gratis Rd to Preble County Line Rd is only 10% gravel. It is a scenic drive. No need for 4-wheel drive.

Eastern half of the road is all dirt and gravel. Some gravel spots along western half. Looks like you can cross a creek right before the start and there's another spot along western half where you can ride down into the creek.
